THE CRAZY INSTAGRAM GAME & WHY WE GET LESS INSTAGRAM LIKES - INSTAGRAM SERIES #1

instagram likes
❞Oh dear Instagram...❝ First things first and to put a little disclaimer on the beginning of this article: Instagram is not real life and it doesn't make anyone a better or cooler person just because they might have more likes and followers- those are just irrelevant numbers which don't define someone as a person. Instagram is for creativity and fun! With that being said, let's jump right into this article. I love Instagram. I really do!

Why I love Instagram It's just the perfect platform for me to share what I love, to be creative, meet lots of inspiring people and get inspired from them. I definitely don't take it all too seriously, but since it's also part of my business, I love to create the best feed I can and always try to stick to my whole Instagram theme. I might be a little crazy about it, sometimes, when nothing seems to work out properly and some pictures don't fit in (that's what I mean with 'crazy Instagram game', lol) but it also is a lot of fun!

There are a view not-so-great things about Instagram which can be quite frustrating at some point when you obviously put a lot of effort in your account.

Why we get less Instagram likes than we used to get This is actually a topic I've been thinking about and also doing some research about for quite some time now because I actually see it on my own account. Have you ever noticed that you get less likes for your pictures than you used to get? Even though your pictures haven't change their style etc.? Well, I hear ya girl! It's actually super easy and we just have to live with it. I think that more and more people are just ''like-lazy'' if you know what I mean. I've noticed that some people do write comments, but then they don't like the picture. Maybe they simply just forget to double tap or they think it's enough if they write a comments- which it actually is!

Don't take Instagram too seriously We shouldn't worry about all the Instagram numbers of likes, comments and followers- instead we should all have fun with it and love creating the content we enjoy.

 xo.

  1. I also love Instagram - it's such an easy way to show my aesthetic and express my creativity!

I also think that the decline in likes has something to do with Instagrams new feed feature that they are rolling out - where your feed is no longer in chronological order! It's kind of annoying because the new algorithm can sometimes put a post at the bottom, and sometimes on the top! But either way, if you are staying true to you, then you're going to be just fine!

  2. Love your feed on instagram, you always post such lovely photos!

I also think the less likes is down to the new algorithm, as soon as that was implemented I saw a significant drop in my number of likes, but like 100s! I've also noticed I keep missing photos on my timeline when I look at people's profiles, and realise I haven't seen their photos for 2 or 3 days. Argh, I wish they hadn't changed it!

  14. This is so good! I get so discouraged by the lack of likes and the new algorithm and a reminder that it's just a fun thing to do is so needed.
