❝The choker trend.❞ Now, I have to admit that I'm not really a DIY person but this one is so freaking easy that even I got excited about it. Let's start with a funny story first how I even got into this DIY: I was at this huge crafting supplies store with my mom to find some stuff she needed to create a present for someone. I was wondering around all of the different isles and somehow find this huge wall with all kinds of ribbons. Every color, every material and every width.
I was kind of impressed and basically stared at the wall for a little while, lol. When I was looking at all the black satin ribbons, the brainwave hit. I thought, why not create a choker with these perfect ribbons?! I've been wanting a choker for quite some time now but never wanted to pa a lot of money for a good one so I just decided to make my own for under €3.
EASY DIY FOR DUMMIES (LIKE ME)
Find a ribbon you like First things first, just kidding. It's actually the one and only step you'll need for this super easy DIY. You just need a ribbon in a great width (which is super duper inexpensive, I got two for €2,98!) that you really like. I decided to go with the good old classic: black satin...
Measure your neck ...then you just need to measure your neck to make sure the choker fits perfectly. Keep in mind that you need to tie it in the back, so you'll need to calculate a few extra centimeters for that. I went for 60cm but will definitely get a little more (like 65cm) the next time.
Play around with it Even though it's just a simple ribbon as a choker, with no real clasp in the back or something, you can play around with it in a few ways. My favorite way to wear this DIY choker is just the simple way with a little bow in the back (looks super cute when you're having a high bun) but you can even wear the bow, or the know at the side or front for a more girly look. If you like blingbling you can actually get some pendants and simply slide them on the ribbon and there you have it. You own personalized DIY choker.
xo.
You look wonderful :)

ReplyDeleteBlack Neck Choker
Wow! That's incredible! It means I too can make my choker necklace by myself! But will it look perfect like the readymade ones? Toronto Fashion Blogger has finely made choker necklace with too many varities and those are really cool enough.
