❞Let's beat the heat!❝ We all know how exhausting hot summer days can be when you're not wearing the right things or just don't feel comfortable with what you're wearing. I personally don't like summer that much because my body just can't stand this extreme heat, so it's always important for me to dress wisely during summer. And with wisely I mean, knowing what suits you the best and what's the most comfortable for you.
Since the past couple of days have been super hot over here and I've kind of got into the struggle of choosing the right summer outfit again (basically like every year). I know you might think it's way too hot to wear skinny jeans in summer but I actually prefer wearing jeans instead of dresses in summer just because I hate the feeling of sweaty legs touching each other while sitting at a cafe or something. Might sound crazy to some of you, but it's just my personal opinion on that, lol.
1. Choose the right shoes
This is probably the most important part about these 5 ways. I don't know about you, but for me there's nothing worse than wearing shoes that hurt every step I take and get me blisters. I know, I know we all love our beautiful high summer sandals but the truth it, that they are just not comfortably most of the time. Especially when you sweat, blisters come so easily. Try to get yourself a pair of comfortably flats which you can combine with many different looks. It not always have to be a pair of heels to complete a stylish look!
2. Grab a small bag
Have you ever had a big over the shoulder every day bag? You probably know how much your neck and shoulder starts to hurt on the side you're carrying that bag. I've just experienced this last week and decided to never use my big over the shoulder bag on hot summer days again. Grab a small bag instead! It will be so much more comfortable and your neck and shoulder can relax.
3. Forget about that bra
Yes, you've read right! Wearing a bra in summer is so overrated. Seriously, just try it one time and you'll see how comfortable it is. Bras can be really tight which is basically the last thing you want during hot summer days, isn't it? But make sure you're wearing something which is opaque.
4. Avoid too much jewelry
I always try to avoid wearing too much jewelry in summer. I hate the feeling when it gets sweaty underneath my watch. Wearing too much jewelry can also feel quite heavy on your body, so you're definitely more comfortable with just a few small and light pieces or even no jewelry.
5. Choose the right materials
If you ever wore a top made out of 100% polyester you know how it feels. As soon as you leave the house you're already sweaty because of the material which makes you sweat even more. 100% cotton is definitely the best way to go.
