CASUAL ELEGANCE

RIPPED JEANS & BLACK Black. Black with black and black. I know it's crazy but isn't it all about black in the fashion world? Well, of course there are plenty of other colors and prints... but I personally see myself always craving for black on a daily bases. Even the hashtag #allblack is probably the most used one when it comes to fashion. I think it's quite easy: Since black is not a real colorful color where you can say like ''no I don't like orange tones so I don't like this orange-redish dress... I think no women ever said ''Oh, well, I don't like black''. Black suits everyone. Every skin tone, every figure and body type and every age. It was Christian Dior who said: ''Black is the most slimming of all colors. It is the most flattering. You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at an age. You can wear it for almost every occasion. I could write a book about black.'' Well, what can I say? He's definitely right with that and that's probably why we all love black so much, 'cause it's the most slimming and flattering of them all.

You've seen so many different #allblack looks from me so I've decided to change it just a liiittle bit for this one, skip the black pants and just combine this black look with a heavy ripped denim and a natural toned top. Is this still an #allblack look now? I have to say that I'm not quite sure about that, because it kind of still gives me the feeling of one. But of course the jeans and top are not black. So you can basically see it however you want to see it. Enough talked about black (I think I've never wrote so many times 'black' in one article...) and let's face this ripped baby: This one I didn't ripped myself like a badass (like most of my others) I simply ordered them from Zara where they are definitely having the best ripped denim and the most affordable ones as well. I do have noticed that apparently not every one on this planet knows about ripped jeans... Some people really stare at you (or your legs) like your poor or just a freak. I mean come ooon, it's just a freaking pair of jeans. Did you know that ripped jeans were actually popular in the late 80s? As well as in the 90s when Kurt Cobain and Kate Moss introduced us into the 'Grunge Look'. They came back then in the early 2010s and the era of ripped jeans is getting bigger and crazier every year.

BLACK & WHITE

CLASSY ON THE GO Good evening fashionistas! How are you doing? Today I'm coming at you with another neutral toned look and it truly feel like I'm going back to the roots. Nothing feels better then don't having to think about color combinations and asking yourself if this really looks good together etc. You can never, never go wrong with black and white. That's just a proven truth in the fashion world. Some people may think that black and white always looks the same but I think that's just not the case. There are so many different ways on how to wear an black and white outfit... It goes from simple jeans paired with a top and blazer to a black and white pattern dress. For this look I went for the good old classic - simple but chic. I chose some black skinny jeans, flattery top and a white long blazer. Now, there is a little story behind this blazer. I got it for an unbelievable price which is basically the point why I got it. I've always wanted a long blazer but wasn't satisfied with a white one at first... Well, I am a woman so I just had to get it because of the unbelievable price and it was hanging in my closet for months... until now. Every time I wore it in front of my mirror I had the feeling I am wearing a doctors coat. I think I've turned on my ''fashion thinking'' and immediately thought about Victoria Beckham. It totally remind me of something Victoria would wear and that was the moment I fell in love with it.

CLEOPATRA DRESS

CLEOPATRA INSPIRED DRESS If you are following me on Instagram (@thetrendique) you'll already saw a picture of me wearing this dress a few days ago. The caption obviously was 'feeling like Cleopatra' and that's exactly what this dress feels and look like. I can't even tell you how long I was searching the perfect black maxi dress but never found the right one. I do have one simple black maxi dress from H&M but it wasn't really what I was looking for and way too casual. When I was browsing through New Look which is btw my current favorite shop to browse for fashion, I stumbled across this beauty and immediately fell in love with it. It simply had charm, looked like something Cleopatra would wear and was very affordable. Of course I hit the order button right away. I have to admit it is quite challenging to get in this dress (especially if you have to change in the car which was what I had to do for this shoot) but if you're in, it's just gorgeous.

IN THE NUDE

JUST SOME CLASSY NEUTRALS Like I said in my previous article: I LOVE PENCIL SKIRTS!!! Maybe even a little bit too much... But hey, we all have something we're a little too obsessed with, right? When it comes to fashion it's totally ok to be madly in love with one special piece or style because you'll find out so many different ways to wear and pair it. Back in the days I only wore colors from the neutral palette, then I got more and more into colorful colors, but know I'm kind of back to my old roots - back to the neutrals. I definitely still love colorful things but you'll see some more neutral colored looks from now on. This one is actually a few weeks old. I absolutely love the nude of the skirt paired with a white/beige crop top - perfect for some neutral accents. For jewelry details I kept it as classy as possible with just my all time favorite watch, a pearl ring and some black aviators.

EVENING GLAM

THE PENCIL SKIRT AGAIN Today's article is all about the evening glam and how to combine a pencil skirt. It can be quite tricky to find the perfect outfit for an evening out. You don't want to be overdressed but still not underdressed. A typical woman problem... I never thought about pairing a pencil skirt with a sweater, like no, it was never an option for me because I thought a sweater is way to casual for a pencil skirt. But as you can see, I obviously thought wrong and you do can pair those two pieces together. Paired with a sweater, which is a little bit more dressy than a chunky one, it gives the whole look a more casual look but you still look elegant and glamorous. A pencil skirt is basically everything. It looks SO chic and classy and really enhances your figure. Of course there are so many different styles of pencil skirts but since you can never go wrong with a tight black one, I chose this one for my evening glamour look.

ALL WHITE

THE WHITE PLAYSUIT I think you're already annoyed of me talking non-stop about playsuits so I'll try to not do this today. But I have to involve it a little bit because obviously it's part of this all white look that I'm showing you today. If you've read my last all white look 'whiteout', then you already know my relationship with white looks and white clothing in general. Since I tried it out the first time (and with that I mean a real all white look, not just one piece) I've fallen in love with it. I think white is THE color, if you can call it a color, to go for for summer. It always looks so fresh and clean which is just perfect for hot summer days. Now, there are two different types of all white looks. There's one where is truly everything in white, from top to bottom and accessories included... and there's the one I went for with just white clothing. I think I like it a little bit more to still have some contrasts in the look. Oh, and I don't even have white shoes so I couldn't even create one total white look from top to bottom. But how to wear all white looks? I personally think they are no rules for that... and just our lovely celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Gigi Hadid, Michelle Obama, Rihanna and so many more showed us, there are NO rules - you can combine everything white you want.

FLASH TATTOOS

NEW SUMMER TREND You might have seen it in the last article but today it's all about the flash tattoos. But what exactly are they?! Flash tattoos are jewelry inspired metallic temporary tattoos which are super easy to apply and they are for sure always the eye-catcher for your outfit. Firstly worn by celebrities such as Beyoncé, Alessandra Ambrosio and Vanessa Hudgens they are probably the biggest accessory trend this summer. I have to say that I never really paid attention to them until now. And you know what? I'm madly obsessed!!! My first thought was that they're probably not going to last that long... Oh well, I thought wrong. They're really sticking to your skin and you can shower unhesitatingly. Maybe don't rub over them, but you can easily rinse water over them. My favorite way to style those flash tattoos are definitely pretty summer dresses or shorts BUT you can still style them with some long pants, blazer and some heels like I did for this particular look. You will see them in some upcoming articles paired with some dresses tho... so stay tuned for that!

BUSINESS CHIC

FOR THE BUSINESS LADIES If you are self employed and you're a ladyboss then you know what it takes to dress on point for an important business meeting. The struggle is real, I'm telling you. Of course, a chic skirt and blazer is always the best choice and you can never go wrong with that... but sometimes, especially when you're a fashion lover, it can get quite boring if you have to wear it on a daily bases. So what are you going to do? My tip is to stick to the good old business classics like skirt, cigarette pants and blazer BUT top it of and make it shine with accessories. The look I'm showing you today is actually very simple with just a classy skirt, top and blazer but then I added some glam accessories to really make it stand out. But first things first: What is a business look without the perfect pair of sexy heels? Right, nothing. So you wanna make sure you're always grabbing the right ones, since you can never go wrong with black heels, I chose my favorite pumps. Next thing and perfect eye-catcher: The bag. Now, this is when it get's a little tricky. Since you'll probably need a bigger bag to carry your laptop etc. a little clutch is probably the wrong decision... I wanted to show you a business look for a everyday wear and how you can make it look more fashionable, so I skipped the big bag for this one. And now the last but not the least: Jewelry. Those a the tiny little things that can make your whole look really change from non-glam to glam. I love the look of a few small rings so I added some of those. Oh, and you can not forget your pearly necklace.

THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS

ALWAYS A OPTION As we probably all know our wonderful Coco Chanel designed the first little black dress back then and since then, it has becoming a true must-have in the fashion industry. The little black dress is meant to be an evening or cocktail dress but often worn as an everyday piece for the chic woman on the go. The cut is always very simply and quite short as well (as the name says it ''little'' black dress). So many famous TV characters and style icons have worn a little black dress just like Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. She was wearing a beautiful LBD designed by Hubert de Givenchy and epitomized the standard of wearing it paired with classic pearls. The dress I'm wearing today is definitely one of the more casual and daytime wearable ones BUT it can be still dressed up.

PLAYSUIT SUMMER

THE PERFECT ONE-PIECE The playsuit. Today it's all about the playsuit again. I think I've fallen deeply in love with them... Doesn't matter what color or which print... It just has to be a playsuit. Now, they are two different kind of ''suits'' out there, one is the jumpsuit and one the playsuit. I am not 100% sure but I guess it's quite easy: The jumpsuit is the long one, so no shorts and the playsuit is the short one. Correct me if I'm wrong! But every time I order a short one it says playsuit and when I'm looking for long ones it says jumpsuit. So long story short: This playsuit is everything!!! It's basically the one piece that every woman should have at least one in her closet... It's so easy breezy and especially for the lazy ones it's perfect because you just don't have to look for a full on outfit, you just grab one piece and some accessories and you're good to go.

SOLD OUT

POP OF COLOR ON THE FEET All black looks are still one of my absolute favorites for every season and every occasion. Especially if you bring in one pop of color, you're definitely looking on trend. All black looks are so easy yet very elegant and classy, if you chose the right accessories (but let's be honest, even without accessories, all black looks are still on point). I found these cute sandals at my local Zara the other day and immediately fell in love with the color. I have to say that I'm not sure if this is pink or purple or both?! But I love them!!! They're the perfect statement shoes for summer and are quite comfortable as well, which is always a good thing, right? Oh, and I can not forget about telling you those shoe were a total bargain. I mean, €40 is a really good price. Next new favorite thing has to be this clutch. Well, it's not sold out, not yet but I think this print is super cool and looks really laid-back but still can be worn to more elegant looks.

THE MAXI

SUMMER IS ABOUT THE MAXI Since summer finally arrived over here in Berlin, I'm taking the opportunity to talk about my favorite craving this summer: The maxi dress. You can find them in every color possible and any print you want. There is definitely something for everyone. My love for maxi dresses started about two summers ago, but back then the selection wasn't really that big so I couldn't find the perfect one for me (or even more then one, 'cause we all want more than one maxi dress, don't we?!) Well, this year, I see beautiful maxi dresses everywhere. Doesn't matter if you're online shopping or offline. I think what I love the most about maxi dresses is the point that you didn't have to worry about a whole look, you just throw on one piece and you're good to go, looking fabulous.

I can't believe that I found this beauty of a dress at my local H&M for only €40. It's super flattery and comfy yet looking very classy and chic - what do we need more for summer? There's basically every nice summer color in it which allows you to play around with fun accessories. I love to match my nails to my outfits whenever I can so I found my first nail match for this dress: Essie's ''peach daiquiri'' is a watermelon red-ish shade which goes perfectly together with one of the colors from the dress. You'll definitely see this dress at least one more time on here but then with another nail match. Since I loved the matching nails so much I kept it quite simple with the jewelry but still couldn't miss my new favorite ring and of course, my beloved watch.

FAMILY CELEBRATION

DENIM GAME CONTINUES This is my outfit what a wore a few days ago when my grandpa had his 83rd birthday and we had a little family celebration going on. Of course, I love to dress up when a occasion like this pops up but still I wanted to be quite comfortable and not over dressed. What else could I chose than my new favorite pair of ripped denim? I am deeply in love with them... Since the weather is SUPER hot right know here in Berlin I can't wear them right know 'cause I have to switch to flattery dresses (which you'll see in my next article - so stay tuned). Anyways, back to this look: I decided to go with a elegant beige blouse to make this look more elegant yet casual. Paired up with some pumps, it was the perfect match to go for.

WHITEOUT

ALL WHITE FOR SUMMER I've honestly always wanted to create an all white look but I guess I never really had the courage to. I don't know why but white pants are so different for me. I never ever had one actually... Maybe it's because my mom always told me when I was little that white pants are getting dirty SO quickly, so she never bought me one. Now that I'm a grown up and obviously can chose myself what to wear and what not, I still thought that white pants are just way to unpractical. Well, as we all know our moods can change so quickly and with summer being just around the corner, I thought I give it a try! And here I am. I didn't had any white shoes or bag so I decided to keep the ''all white'' theme just for the clothes. I absolutely love the combination of white and mint, especially for summer so I chose to go for a mint manicure and bag.

HELLO SUMMER

HAPPY JUNE LOVES Yesterday was the beginning of june and so (I hope) the beginning of summer as well. Even though I don't like it when it's too hot especially when you live in a big hectic city... but still I'm looking forward for a lot of beautiful summer days and nights. The thing I probably like the most about summer time is: BBQ!!! Nothing better than a great time on a summer evening with family. But now back to the fashion. If you've read one of my previous articles then you know how much I love a good ripped denim game. Todays is not THAT much of a heavy game than the last one but still, it's a nicely ripped jeans. I just love to pair them up with some classy pumps which gives it a more elegant look to it rather than wearing them with sneakers (which you obviously can do).
